Why Zacchaeus got Saved (Sermon)

 Text : Luke 19: 1-10

Title: “Why Zacchaeus got Saved”?
Intro:
        “In this passage we have the :”
   1. The Savior- Jesus Christ Himself
      (He entered and passed thru Jericho)
      - The Creator - who came to seek and 
          to saved the lost -(v10, John 3:16)
      - The Creator who loved the world
      - The Creator whose desire is for the
         lost people to be save - IPet.,3:9

   2. The unsaved Sinner-( he was seeking
           for Jesus to see who He was)
      The Created being who needs a Savior
         because he is a sinner and can’t 
         save himself. ( Eph.2:8-9, John 14:6)

   3. The Skeptics - ( doubter, unbelieving)
         ( very critical and condemning)
     - The self righteous people who does 
         not believed in Jesus as Savior.
     - The rejectors of the truth
     - The proud one because of their belief

    “Who was Zacchaeus? ( some of the
    reasons and excuses of other  people
      why they can’t come. to Jesus”
  -He was the chief among the publicans
  -He was very rich
  -He was little of Stature
     “But he was seeking for Jesus”
       Let us look at the the story of this passage “ how a wicked person got saved
He was criticized by a lot of people because of his work, way of life and wrong kind of living ( he was a liar and a deceiver in the eyes of the people.
Why he got saved, changed and protected
      by the Lord?
       
     Points: 
A. Because of his desire ( sought to see 
     Jesus- to look for, to search for)
      (To see Jesus who he was)
He was a Savior of all mankind 
He was His defender at all times
He was His Strength when he needed Him

B. Because of his determination
  He was not hindered by the obstacles
  He was willing to obey the word of God
  He was not afraid to give up the things
      that God wants to give up

C. Because of his decision 
To repent of his sins
To receive the Lord
To follow the Lord

Conclusion:
      What about you ? Are you save or you want to be save because you understand
that you beed Jesus Christ as your Savior
