The Evidence of Salvation (sermon)

 Text: I Thess. 1:6

Title: The Evidence of Salvation
Intro:
     The evidence of salvation of the Thess.
  Believers was not lacking/ or faking
        ( not true) but its genuine
       There was a new relationship
       There was new desire
       There was a new life
       There was a new outlook in life

  “Paul mention a few areas of conduct
     which confirmed their salvation”

Points:
A. The way they Respect the Pastors -v-6
     “Ye became followers of us, and of the
            Lord”
  What are the evidence:?
 1. Their attitude towards the preachers.
      The unsaved does not respect the 
           preachers:
 2. Their actual support to the needs of
       the man of God ( spiritually, financially
       and physically)
 3. Their availability towards their 
          responsibility

B. Their Reception to the  preaching of the -    Word of God -v-6 ( received the
      word in much affliction, with joy of
         the Holy Ghost. 
The positive reception of the word of God
    of the Word of God is another evidence
    of salvation
How did they received the word of God?
1. With great affliction -distress( hurt,pain)
2. With Great joy- delight
3. With great desire- 

C. Their Rejoicing to the Church Services
    in the House of God both in and out-7-9
      What did they do?
    1. They became an example in 
     participation in prayers & soul winning
     2. They became an encouragement in
            Service/ serving the Lord
     3. They became a great Instrument in
           the Area of Evangelism

D. Their Real Giving of sacrificed, love for
          the Ministry

Conclusion:
       II Cor. 13:5 “ Paul said “ Examine yourself”
   @ your salvation - are you really saved?
   @. Your service- are you really serving 
              the Lord
   @. Your stand - are you really for God
